We also visited the British Bookshop a couple of times back in the days where there was no Bookstore Guide nor have we thought yet about it. Although we only stopped over at their Mariahilferstrasse location, we were content with the offer of books in English which they had, while the numbers on the price tags were perhaps on the "overpriced side" - still, one must keep in mind that Vienna is not a cheap city to shop in. Unfortunately, we later learned that the Mariahilferstrasse location was closed (as of March 2008) thus leaving the store on Weihburggasse as the only one operating at the moment.

The British Bookshop, located in the Old Town of the city Vienna, is the largest and most comprehensive boutique specializing in books in English in Austria. The bookstore spreads on a large ground floor and stocks all sorts of anglophile books: from English language learning materials to an extensive selection of fiction, a wide range of children's books and DVDs. The British Bookshop has been said to be a kind of a place which will leave you with enough reading material to last you for the rest of your life. If, by chance, you are unable to find the book you are looking for in their stock, the friendly and helpful staff can order it for you. The British Bookshop is also called the world of millions of books.
